Privacy
Our privacy promises
Mahina is built so your health data stays yours. Here is exactly what that means — not the legal version, the plain one.
- Your data stays on your phone
Cycle dates, symptoms, pregnancy details and journal notes are stored only on this device, encrypted. They are never uploaded.
- No account, ever
You never sign up or give a phone number or email to track. Nothing links your data to your identity.
- The app stays offline
This version makes no internet connections at all. Nothing can be intercepted, because nothing is sent.
- Nothing is shared unless you share it
A share or a doctor PDF is created only when you choose to — and only with what you pick.
- Your backup is yours alone
Backups are encrypted with a passphrase only you know and saved to a file you keep. We store no copy and cannot read it.
- Reminders stay private
Notifications never show cycle or pregnancy details on your lock screen unless you turn that on.
- Delete means delete
One tap erases everything on this device, for good. There is no server copy to restore.
Usage stats stay off unless you turn them on. Even then, we count how many people use each feature — we can never see who, and neither can our administrators. Your health data is never included.
Privacy policy
Last updated 6 August 2026. This policy describes how the current version of Mahina handles your data.
1. Who we are
Mahina is a period and pregnancy tracking app published by TopDevs. You can reach us at admin@topdevs.ai.
2. What data we collect
In this version of the app: none that leaves your device. Everything you enter — cycle and period dates, symptoms, pregnancy information, notes, reminders and settings — is stored only on your phone, in an encrypted database. The app makes no network connections, so this data is never transmitted to us or anyone else.
We do not require an account. We do not ask for your name, phone number, or email to use the app.
3. On-device encryption
Your data is held in a database encrypted with a key stored in your device's secure hardware keystore (Android Keystore / iOS Keychain). App lock (PIN or biometric) adds a further layer you control.
4. When data leaves your device — only if you choose
The only ways information leaves your device are actions you take yourself: exporting a doctor PDF or a share card through your phone's share sheet, or creating an encrypted backup file that you control. You choose the contents and the destination each time. We are not involved and receive nothing.
5. Optional usage statistics
Anonymous usage statistics are off by default in every region. If you turn them on, they record only which features are used — never who you are and never your health data. This version of the app has no mechanism to send them at all; your choice is simply remembered for a future version.
6. Your choices & rights
- Delete everything — one action in Settings permanently erases all app data on your device. Because there is no server copy, deletion is complete.
- Export — you can export your data as an encrypted backup at any time.
- Where local law (such as the EU GDPR or India's DPDP Act) grants rights over personal data, tracking special-category health data is done only with your explicit, opt-in consent.
7. Children
Mahina is intended for adults and teens 13+. A dedicated, guardian-anchored experience for younger teens is planned for a later release and is not part of this version.
8. Changes to this policy
As Mahina adds optional connected features in future versions (for example, sharing through a secure relay, or opt-in usage statistics), this policy will be updated to describe them before those features ship. We will name any third parties involved at that time.
"The app makes no internet connection" describes the current version. Future versions may add optional connected features (such as sharing through a secure relay). Those will always be opt-in, and this policy will be updated to describe them before they ship.
